What is wingwave?
wingwave-Coaching is successfully used by managers, executives, creative people, artists as well as top athletes, actors, apprentices, school and university students. It is a short-term coaching concept.
The wingwave-method is a performance- and emotionally oriented coaching. For the tutee, it leads to a fast and noticeable decrease in stress and increase in creativity, mental fitness and conflict stability, all within a few sessions.
This resource effect is attained through a seemingly simple basic intervention: inducing REM (Rapid Eye Movement) phases while awake. Normally, humans only go through REM phases during their sleep, but in this case, the coach horizontally leads his tutees’ eyes back and forth with quick hand movements.
Areas of application
Regulating performance pressure (PSI = Performance Stress Imprinting)
Effectively compensating stress in cases such as social fields of tension within a team or with a customer, stress of being in the spotlight, being scared to fail on the way to the goal, being scared of flying or in case of physical stress due to e.g. sleep deprivation. Through a quick stabilisation of their inner balance, they soon feel energetic, relaxed and ready to face conflicts.Resource Coaching
In this case, interventions are used for topics determining someone’s success. Examples are the improvement of someone’s creativity, coaching regarding one’s self-image, working towards a persuasive charisma, positive self-motivation, strengthening one’s inner team, the visualisation of goals. They are also used as mental preparation for peak performance, e.g. before an important event or conversation.Belief Coaching
People are made aware of dogmas that limit their performance, which are then transformed into resource beliefs. Finding cases of euphoria in one’s subjective experiences is essential. In the long term, these cases have the potential to make one’s inner world very vulnerable. The goal is to attain an emotionally stable base of beliefs and personal dogmas that can withstand great mental pressure
wingwave has already been the subject of studies at the University of Hamburg and Hannover Medical School. They demonstrated that only two hours of wingwave coaching can already transform fear of speaking and stage fright into confidence in presenting and being excited to be on stage.
